Lighthouse & Spaceflight Tour, Private Group

USD $375.00
  • Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Port Canaveral, Florida

We take your private group, up to 10 guests, on a journey through the evolution of exploration as we visit the Cape Canaveral Lighthouse that guided explorers around the Florida coast, to the location that propelled our ships into orbit, and look toward the new frontier of planetary travel.

Canaveral Tours provides a 4 hour tour visiting the Canaveral Lighthouse, Space Force Missile Museum and views and stops at historic launch complexes . The tour takes you to the lighthouse, where you are provided a guided tour by a Lighthouse Foundation guide.  You will learn why we needed a lighthouse at Cape Canaveral and how it was key in making Cape Canaveral home to Spaceflight. The tour route allows views of launch sites used for early research and development of our missile program. Walk into the blockhouse where we launched our first satellite into space and peruse exhibits of missile and spaceflight activities. Stand where we sent Alan Shepherd into space and began the Mercury program and manned spaceflight.

The tour departs from Sands Space History Museum in Cape Canaveral, unless custom arrangements are made. Tour is approximately 4 hours. Reservations are required in advance for clearance by the Air Force. U.S. citizens are required to provide security information 2 days in advance.
