Lighthouse & Hangar C Excursion 2 hour

Canaveral Tours offers this 2 hour excursion for you to experience the Lighthouse and Hangar C at your own pace. This is a monthly event, look for special dates. The excursion is 2 hours spending 1 1/2 hours on site. Pickup is at the Sands Space History Museum and you can spend additional time visiting before or after your trip.

The lighthouse foundation has docents and volunteers who are available to answer questions during your visit to the lighthouse and museum.  You will learn why we needed a lighthouse at Cape Canaveral and how it was key in making Cape Canaveral home to Spaceflight.

Hangar C, the first hangar erected on the Space force Station, stands next door to the lighthouse and is now home to many refurbished spaceflight artifacts. The Air Force Missile Museum will have the hangar open for visiting and have volunteers on site to answer any questions.

Reservations are required in advance for clearance by the Space Force. U.S.citizens and residents are required to provide security information two days in advance. Foreign visitors are not given clearance.

Departure is from Sands Space History Museum which is open to the pubic with free admission and can be visited on day of tour.

Lighthouse FAQs :

There is a minimum height of 48 inches to climb the lighthouse.
Climbing inside lighthouse is restricted to first 5 floors, outside stairs weather 
permitting.
Appropriate shoes are required, no flip flops or high heels, open toed shoes must have heel strap.
Restrooms are available.
