Wildlife Refuge Tour, Port of Call

USD $95.00
  • Duration: 4 Hours (approx.)
  • Location: Merritt Island, FL

Enjoy your port of call in Cape Canaveral on a tour of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge! We pickup from your ship in our executive air-conditioned Mercedes coach. We provide binoculars, information cards, water, snacks, sunscreen, mosquito repellant and umbrellas, in case of liquid Florida sunshine. The knowledgeable tour guide will share information and multimedia presentations will give you a great overview of the ecology and history of the area keeping your group engaged and entertained.

The Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge is a 5-star attraction giving you plenty of opportunity to see the nature and beauty of Florida.  Alligators are the sought-after site. Although we cannot guarantee what or where you will see wildlife there is always something around each bends in the road. Birds love the many waterways throughout the refuge. In the cooler months the bird migration happens, and we are afforded a sight of plentiful and varied species.

Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is a National Park and the roads, trails and lookouts are well maintained and easy to walk on. We suggest comfortable walking shoes if you plan on walking or hiking at any of our stops. At times the mosquitos can be bothersome, and a long-sleeved shirt comes in handy. We have mosquito repellant and sunscreen on the van.

The 4-hour tour gets you back to the ship with plenty of time for dinner, prior to departure.
